MTN FA Cup – Obia Nye Obiaaaa

The gap at the top of the GHPL2017/18, Zylofon Cash Premier League table has been cut to one after miners, defeated Aduana Stars in a 2-0 win.

Ashantigold, who suffered a 1-0 defeat to Berekum Chelsea on sunday came back home very optimistic for the trophy chase and was able to close in the gap by moving up to second position on the table with 27 points.

Aduana stars came into the game with clear intentions to take back home the whole 3 points but, Ashantigold have the situation covered as they were overly prepared to show Aduana stars real soccer.

Habib Mohammed broke the deadlock of the game in 21st minute and the first half ended 1-0 lead for Ashantigold.

In the second half, Ashgold mount a lot of pressure on Aduana Stars at the mid field and the defense line, this made Aaduana Stars more desperate and physical. In the 60th minute, Gordon Yeboah, Aduana stars goal keeper committed a foul against Anabila Latif in their own box. Referee Timothy Obuobisa awarded a penalty kick for Ashgold.

Shafiu Mumuni was able to send Yeboah to a different direction to find the back of the net.

Ashantigold ended the game with 2-0 win, 27 points on the league table and moved up to second position, having Medeama SC leading with 27 points and some goals difference.
